Noah - equal parts cheesy, bonkers and beautiful Stranger on the Third Floor - This proto-noir channels Kafka and Dostoevsky, and under-uses Peter Lorre High & Low - a film of 2 parts, one part claustrophobic and character based, one part procedural and taught, both excellent Big Bad Wolves - a little thin at times, but all in all fine, disgusting fun Out of the Furnace - often clunky and contrived but more than kept afloat by it's uniformly excellent performances and beautiful direction Ivan's Childhood - One of cinemas great débuts
